There are several different ways to treat glaucoma: we have eye drops, we have laser, and we have surgery. Some patients are candidates for just a drop once a day; some patients for just a laser, one time in the office. Other patients will need all three of those things — they’ll be on drops, they’ll have had laser treatments, and they may ultimately need surgery.
