Well, I think in general, sort of leading a healthy lifestyle: exercising, eating a healthy diet, stopping smoking if you smoke, never smoking if you’ve never tried it — those are mainly the things that we think contribute to good eye health. Outside of that, simply getting your eyes checked at least every couple of years if you don’t have any eye problems, to identify any suspicious signs of things that might be brewing. For instance, glaucoma is often like high blood pressure: patients feel fine, they can’t tell there’s a problem — you wouldn’t know you had glaucoma unless somebody looks in there and checks it out. So it’s often like preventive maintenance for your car: go get your eyes checked every year.
