With all the different lens options, it may be difficult to consider what’s the best lens for you. Luckily, when you come into the office initially, we’ll do an evaluation of your eyes. We’ll dilate your eyes, look at the cataracts, and decide if there are any other diseases or factors that could affect your final visual outcome. Next, we’ll schedule you for an appointment to do some measurements of the eye. Everybody’s eye is a little bit different, but the length of the eye, the shape of the eye, and all these different parameters help me calculate what my recommendations are for lenses for you. And based on whether you have astigmatism or other diseases in the eye — and especially what you’re looking for, what activities you do, and what you’d like to achieve after surgery — we can decide together what your best lens options would be.
