How Eyelid Surgery with Dr. Kostick Improved Janet’s Vision

“The one thing I have to say after the surgery: my vision improved tremendously. Janet Quattrochi didn’t realize how much her eyelids were affecting her vision until she had eyelid surgery in Jacksonville, FL at Florida Eye Specialists. She came in thinking it was just a cosmetic issue, but quickly learned that her droopy eyelids were limiting her peripheral vision. After meeting Dr. Kostick and his team, she was incredibly thankful for the care she received.

Cosmetic eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove excess tissue from the eyelids.

“My name is Janet Qurochi. I am 78 years old. After I failed the peripheral vision test, I knew I had to have the upper eyelids done. I decided to have the lower lids done because of the experience when I saw my brother — his lower lids were dragged down.

The one thing I have to say after the surgery: my vision improved tremendously. I must have been a terror on the road, because I can’t believe how much more I see in my peripheral vision that I wasn’t seeing before — that I didn’t know I wasn’t seeing before.

If someone asked me about moving forward with the surgery, I would definitely move forward. I know now that when I’m in my upper 80s, early 90s, I am going to be able to see, and my eyes won’t be impaired due to my lids.

Would I recommend Dr. Kostick? Absolutely. I had all the confidence in the world in him and his staff, who have been so kind, did everything I asked, answered every question I had. I have to thank them with everything I have, because I am truly grateful for all that they did for me.”
